Discover Scuba
What:
In “Discover Scuba” you’ll learn beginning
information about scuba diving and can try it out in the pool. Sessions are led by
two PADI certified dive instructors.
Session includes video, poolside instruction, and assistance in the pool with
the gear on. You'll learn how to clear your mask, breathe through a regulator,
and clear your ears. There are 4 identical sessions to choose from - join in on
one!
Instructors: Carson Ganci, a PADI certified dive instructor from the Alberta Underwater Council, will run each session. Carmen Boisvert, a Fort McMurray dive instructor, will assist.
Who:
Anyone aged 12 years and up. Priority
given to ages 12 to 21 years old. First come, first served. If there is space,
parents are welcome. Maximum number of
participants per session is 12. You must be in good health.
You must have basic swimming skill (be able to swim the length of the pool).
Cost:
$25 registration fee. The $25 will be
reimbursed to those participants who complete the Discover Scuba session.
Registration fee is non-refundable for people who do not complete the session.
Where: Centennial Pool

Pick up forms and pay at Outdoor Essentials,
#7, 213 Timberline Drive, 743-5121. (Outdoor Essentials is a great place to get
outdoor gear, gift ideas, and order scuba gear!)

checklist will need to be completed. If you are under the age of 18, it must be
completed by a parent or guardian. Forms are to be brought to the session.
Deadline for payment:
Tuesday, November 4th at
